About the Role:
Do you take pride in organization, cleanliness, and helping others in their time of need? Join our Laundry Restoration Team and play a vital role in restoring normalcy for families and businesses affected by disaster.
As a Laundry Restoration Technician, you'll be responsible for the proper care, cleaning, and return of textiles and soft goods damaged by smoke, fire, water, and other contaminants. You’ll work in a fast-paced environment using state-of-the-art equipment to restore clothing, linens, and other washable contents with precision and care.
This is a hands-on, detail-oriented role that requires efficiency, teamwork, and compassion for the people we serve.
What You’ll Do:
On-Site Responsibilities:
- Interact with clients in a professional, compassionate manner.
- Assist with inventory, labeling, and packaging of textile items at affected locations.
- Work with the contents team to ensure textiles are properly documented for restoration.
- Safely transport laundry items to and from the restoration facility.
In-Facility Responsibilities:
- Sort, wash, dry, and finish laundry using specialized restoration equipment.
- Identify and apply appropriate cleaning methods for various types of fabric damage (e.g., smoke odor, soot, mold, etc.).
- Inspect items for stains, damage, or non-restorable conditions and document accordingly.
- Fold, package, and prepare restored laundry for return to the customer.
- Track all inventory through detailed logs and digital systems.
What We’re Looking For:
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous laundry, dry-cleaning, or restoration experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in producing clean, high-quality results.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, team environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn restoration techniques.
- Must pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
- Valid CA driver’s license and clean driving record (a plus).
Additional Expectations:
- Wear proper PPE and follow all safety and cleanliness protocols.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Be available for occasional after-hours work during emergencies.
